Removals Denmark Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps taken by Removals Denmark to identify, prevent, and address modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. It reflects our ongoing commitment to conduct business ethically, transparently, and in full respect of human rights in every country where we operate or source services.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Removals Denmark has a clear and strict zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, servitude, and child labour. We will not knowingly engage with, support, or benefit from any organisation or individual involved in such practices. This applies to all parts of our business, including our own employees, our contractors, and every tier of our supply chain.
All colleagues, from senior management to operational teams, are expected to uphold and promote our human rights standards. Any behaviour that conflicts with our zero-tolerance policy is treated as a serious breach and may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, or referral to the relevant authorities.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Removals Denmark provides professional removal and relocation services, working with a network of suppliers and partners including transport providers, storage facilities, packing material suppliers, and specialist subcontractors. We recognise that risks may arise in areas such as logistics, warehousing, and temporary labour, particularly where recruitment practices and working conditions are not consistently monitored.
We are committed to building long-term relationships with suppliers that share our values and are prepared to work with us to improve standards and address any identified risks or concerns relating to modern slavery.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect all suppliers and business partners to operate in line with our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery. Our supplier requirements include respecting the rights of workers, ensuring that employment is freely chosen, prohibiting any form of forced or bonded labour, and complying with all applicable labour and human rights laws.
To support these expectations, we carry out supplier due diligence and risk-based audits. These may include onsite visits, document reviews, worker interviews conducted in a confidential manner, and assessments of recruitment practices, working hours, and wage records. Where higher risks are identified, we increase the depth and frequency of audits and may require corrective action plans with clear timelines.
If a supplier fails to address serious issues or refuses to cooperate with our investigations, Removals Denmark reserves the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels
We encourage all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers to speak up if they have concerns about potential modern slavery or human rights abuses connected to our business. Reports can be made to line managers, senior management, or through our designated internal reporting channels. Reports may be made anonymously where permitted by local law.
All concerns are treated seriously, investigated promptly, and handled with sensitivity. We do not tolerate any form of retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith or assist with an investigation. Where evidence of modern slavery is identified, we will take immediate action to protect affected individuals and engage with relevant authorities as appropriate.
Training and Awareness
Removals Denmark provides training and guidance to relevant staff to help them recognise indicators of modern slavery and understand how to respond to concerns. This includes management, procurement teams, and colleagues with responsibility for supplier selection, contract management, or site supervision.
We aim to embed a culture of vigilance and responsibility, ensuring that prevention of modern slavery is understood as part of everyday decision-making rather than a one-off exercise.
Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery sits with the senior management team of Removals Denmark. They review key risks, audit findings, reported concerns, and progress against any improvement plans. Lessons learned are used to strengthen our policies, procedures, and training materials.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least once every year to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with evolving legal requirements and best practice. As part of this annual review, we assess the effectiveness of our actions, consider feedback from stakeholders, and update our priorities where new or emerging risks are identified.
Removals Denmark remains committed to continual improvement and to working collaboratively with employees, suppliers, and partners to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking from our business and wider supply chains.
